UPDATE (1:44 p.m.)- CAL Fire says the fire has now grown to 268 acres.
UPDATE (12:28 p.m.)- According to the Genasys Evacuation Map, evacuation Warnings have been issued in Santa Barbara County for Zones: SBC-167-A, SBC-167-B & SBC-169-A.
CAL Fire says the cause of the fire is under investigation
UPDATE (12:19 p.m.)- The Carrizo Fire has now burned 150 acres and has the potential for 1,000 acres. The fire is burning on both sides of Highway 166.
ORIGINAL STORY: Fire crews are responding to a report of a vegetation fire at the 13000 Block of Highway 166 Northwest of New Cuyama. The fire was reported at approximately 11:29 am. on Saturday, August 22.
Officials say the Carrizo Fire has burned 10 acres and has the potential to grow up to 100 acres.
